Ceramic Vase — Royal Red Begonia Heirloom Porcelain

This is a ceramic vase that has the feel of an heirloom. It is shaped in a traditional and timeless way-a full-shouldered silhouette that would look as natural on a formal table as it would on a contemporary console. The glaze is Chinese imperial vermilion-the rich, jewel-like red the best Chinese porcelain has to offer from dynasty onward-and a hand carved begonia detail rises in high relief all over the exterior. Inside, a creamy white glaze. Handmade in Jingdezhen, it’s can stand alone as a work of art.

Product care

All our works are 100% lead-free, non-toxic, and finished with food-safe glazes.

Forged in 1,300°C kilns, your JINGEE vessel is inherently durable. Yet, its handcrafted nature invites mindful preservation. To ensure it lasts a lifetime, we recommend the following:

1、Mindful Cleansing: Though dishwasher and microwave safe, we highly recommend gentle hand washing with mild soap to preserve the unique tactile finish.

2、Temperature Resilience:
Avoid extreme thermal shock. Never move a piece directly from a freezing environment to sudden high heat.

3、Living History: Over time, matte glazes may develop a subtle patina from dark teas or espresso. Embrace these gentle marks—they are not flaws, but the beautiful, unfolding story of your vessel.

Description

Heirloom Ceramic Vase in Old China’s Red

There are certain pieces that feel like gifts you've received. This feels like one that’s already destined to be passed on. Crafted from ceramic, it displays an heirloom silhouette (full-shouldered and timeless in shape, capable of defining a room for centuries) intricately carved, by hand, with an all-over raised begonia relief that you can almost feel through your fingertips.

We adore the color of this ceramic vase above all else – the one called “imperial vermilion”: a rich, regal, and deep hue deeply appreciated in Chinese porcelains since imperial times, traditionally reserved for only the most significant works.

So saturated it looks self-illuminated, it has a stately and weighty, rather than a garish effect, and its pristine white glazed mouth only emphasizes its brilliance. A truly unusual example of red that can ground either a meticulously curated antiques collection or a spare, minimalist decor. Made by hand in Jingdezhen, the thousand-year-old center for porcelain-making in China, its glaze is kiln-fired beyond 1300 °C – ensuring the pattern lasts for centuries. Every single ceramic vase is carved by hand, making yours one of a kind.

With a height of 10 inches, this piece holds its own, adorning an entryway, a mantel or a console with empty poise or a single stem. A deeply considered gift for a housewarming, wedding, or anniversary. Recommended for a single stem, dried arrangement or use as a pure sculptural accent. For cleaning, we recommend simply wiping with a soft, dry cloth.

Your vase will ship with a gift box and a card.
