Ceramic Espresso Cups Unique Turquoise Glaze Dragon Scale Cup
These stylish ceramic espresso cups are as pleasing to the eye as they are to sip from. Each one comes bearing a comforting hue of turquoise green – the iconic Qing dynasty hue – and is topped with a thin gold rim, decorated on the sides with hand-carved ‘dragon scale’ ridges that number over a thousand. Fashioned from fine, high-fired Jingdezhen porcelain, these handleless 6.4 oz vessels are appropriately shaped for an espresso, a cortado or a cup of tea. Each is unique in its own right — half works of decorative art, half cup.

Returns/Exchanges
Because all Jingee’s works are handmade and customized, our policy states that we do not refund purchases to the original form of payment unless the item is defective. If a piece doesn't work for you, we can exchange your items, or give you store credit.
All our works are 100% lead-free, non-toxic, and finished with food-safe glazes.
Forged in 1,300°C kilns, your JINGEE vessel is inherently durable. Yet, its handcrafted nature invites mindful preservation. To ensure it lasts a lifetime, we recommend the following:
1、Mindful Cleansing: Though dishwasher and microwave safe, we highly recommend gentle hand washing with mild soap to preserve the unique tactile finish.
2、Temperature Resilience: Avoid extreme thermal shock. Never move a piece directly from a freezing environment to sudden high heat.
3、Living History: Over time, matte glazes may develop a subtle patina from dark teas or espresso. Embrace these gentle marks—they are not flaws, but the beautiful, unfolding story of your vessel.
Description
Turquoise Ceramic Espresso Cups — Carved and Gilded by Hand
Some cups you pour out of. These ceramic espresso cups are the kind people bring to the table, pick up, and turn in their hand.
A deeply reassuring, warm turquoise-green glaze (Jingdezhen was firing this exact color by the 1700s) is applied to a cup body intricately carved with over a thousand scaled-down dragon-scale bumps — run your finger under them when you touch it, and your thumb finds one, two, a dozen without thinking. Your lip comes to the rim, and you meet real gold.
They’re made in Jingdezhen— the ancient center of Chinese porcelain production — and are twice-fired: once hot to set a hard, stable body, and again cooler to lay the precious colored glaze and gild the rims by hand. Each of the myriad scale-lines and gilt rims is applied one piece at a time, so no two cups come out exactly the same.
At 6.4 fl oz (190 ml), these handleless ceramic espresso cups are built for a proper shot, a cup of tea, or well-made cortado — not a greb and go vessel, but one made for quiet ritual. They’re sized so your fingers naturally grip around them without a handle as you raise one, with the deeply scored surface giving it just the slightest tactile purchase, encouraging mindful sips.
Stacked on a shelf, they present as sculpture. On a tray, they make for a highly dramatic pair.
Shipped gift-wrapped, they are a welcome present for the discerning coffee aficionado, or anyone with a keen appreciation for quality ceramics. Hand wash gently— please do not attempt to put these ceramic espresso cups in the dishwasher, nor the microwave.
Ships with gift box and a card.

Frequently Asked Questions
How big is it - will it hold a full latte?
It’s 6.4 oz (190 ml) - a wonderful size for a cortado, a piccolo, an espresso, or a cup of tea. It does not hold a full 12-oz cafe latte.
Does it have a handle?
No, it’s handless with a secure, grooved grip. Excellent for both cold or warm beverages, but perhaps not the hottest of drinks.
What’s the turquoise glaze?
This is a rich, earthy turquoise green that Jingdezhen has fired for centuries, dating back to the Qing dynasty.
Is the gold rim dishwasher safe or microwave safe?
No, it’s hand-wash only - be gentle. The real gold rim cannot be put through the dishwasher or microwave.
Are they all the same?
No, hand-carving and hand-gilding can create slight variations in each piece.
